Discover Nature just a Step Away
Its location is privileged, nestled at the foot of Puigsacalm and the Serra de Llancers, next to the Joanetes stream and surrounded by beech, oak and holm oak forests, meadows where herds graze. To enjoy the rural charm we travel to Catalonia and the Girona Pyrenees, to discover Fageda de'n Jordà, the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, and its villages.

Travel in a hot air balloon. Go hiking, walking itineraries through the most interesting places of the Natural Park. Mountain bike routes, one of the best spaces to practice cycle tourism. Visit the Regional, Volcano and Sants d'Olot museums.
Milk thistle
The Lletissonada is a traditional mountain race that takes place in the spring, its dates range between May 4 and May 6. The GRUP EXCURSIONISTA CULTURAL I ALPINISTA (GECA) of Sant Esteve d'en Bas, is a classic entity within the Catalan hiking world, organizer of the well-known LLETISSONADA march since 1980.
The Living Nativity Scene of Joanetes
Every year, the town of Joanetes is transformed into a magical nativity scene icon that attracts and amazes thousands of visitors. What began as a small representation of a few scenes has become a large scenography that does not leave a single corner of the town. It mobilizes more than four hundred people and recalls with dignity and wonder more than fifty scenes typical of Christmas. An especially symbolic and very beautiful element for these dates.

Walking Routes
Itinerànnia is the network of more than 2,500 km of signposted trails that has been created in Ripollès, Garrotxa and Alt Empordà: from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean. You can travel along old historical paths, you will see the high mountains, Romanesque hermitages, dormant volcanoes, medieval villages, coastal wetlands...
Cycle tourism
La Garrotxa is one of the best places to practice cycle tourism in Catalonia. The Via Verda del Ferro and the Via Verda del Carrilet, recommended for traveling along the old Olot-Girona Carrilet route since much of the route to Girona is downhill.

In La Garrotxa we have excellent art, history and science museums that bring us closer to the history of the region, to the experiences, natural and cultural heritage. Regional Museum, Volcano Museum and Saints Museum. Collections: Can Trincheria House Museum, Museum of Wild Fauna of the Eastern Pyrenees and Museum of Miniatures of Besalú.
